What happens at my Lab Review and Protocol Recommendation Appointment?
After your Initial Consult you will receive email instructions on getting your labs drawn. Following completion of your labs and receipt of your results, you will be scheduled for your Lab Review and Protocol Recommendation Appointment.
During this appointment your provider will go through a comprehensive review of your lab results with a focus on educating, as well as informing. Not only do we want you to know your results, we want you to understand the high-level cause and effect behind them. This is how we work with our clients to help them “go from passenger to pilot” in managing their health.
After reviewing your labs in detail with a lens on education, your provider will “connect the dots” – walking you through the full arc from your Initial Consult goals and concerns, to how your lab values correlate to those goals/concerns, to what needs to change to achieve/address those goals/concerns, to the treatment plan that will achieve those changes.
This plan will be designed uniquely for you and may include things like: Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Peptide Therapy, lifestyle modifications, supplement recommendations, and more.
What labs are included in the Assessment Lab Panel?
Our Assessment lab panel is curated and comprehensive to give you and your provider a full understanding of your baseline health. Lab Panels Included are outlined below.
If you are actively on hormones, we also require you to complete a dried urine hormone metabolite test called the DUTCH test. This is an add-on charge to your total Assessment cost.
We require all new clients participating in an Assessment to complete the full panel of labs and cannot substitute outside lab results for any of the tests below.
Hormonal Optimization
Blood Hormone Panel – A hormone snapshot to get your hormone program started quickly
Adrenal Optimization
Blood Adrenal Panel – An adrenal analysis to get your thyroid optimization underway.
Cardiometabolic Optimization
Cardiometabolic Panel – A comprehensive Lipid Panel Profile that goes well beyond your traditional cholesterol panel to include key genetic and lifestyle lipid particles, pre-diabetes testing, as well as an omega profile and overall inflammatory risk markers.
Nutritional Optimization
Comprehensive Nutrition Panel – This patented micronutrient assessment technology uses Mass Spectrometry to determine your nutrient utilization at the cellular level, providing an accurate picture of precisely which nutrients you need.
Genomic Status (MTHFR)
MTHFR Genomic SNP Analysis – Methylation impacts over 200 different functions in the body. By reviewing the status of a key methylation gene for common mutations, we can proactively address a wide variety of potential health conditions and provide more precise treatment recommendations.
General Health Status
Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) – A standard blood test that gives your provider insight into your overall systemic health.
Complete Blood Count (CBC) – This standard blood test, combined with the CMP, gives your provider insight into potential systemic issues that might not be optimal.
Regenerative Peptide Suitability
BLI’s Curated Medically Managed Peptide Panel – ensures your suitability for our entire formulary of Peptide Protocols and provides support for your comprehensive Peptide protocol recommendation.
Health Baseline Analysis
A Health Baseline Analysis including your Biological Age (biological vs. chronological) and SECA Body Composition Analysis.
What happens after my BLI Assessment?
Assessment of these core domains serves as a comprehensive launching point for your journey towards full human optimization. Following your Assessment, you can decide to continue working with BLI by participating in one of our Programs.
Our Programs provide a full calendar year of provider access, unlimited follow-up visits, lab reviews, treatment recommendations, and ongoing guidance on how to best navigate your journey to optimal health and longevity. BLI will provide more information on your Program options as you go through your Assessment process.
Before you can receive any prescriptions (i.e. hormones, peptides) recommended by your Provider, you must sign a formal Program Agreement, which will be sent electronically to your email.
This is necessary to cement the patient-provider relationship. You are under no obligation to continue on with a BLI Program after your Assessment. If you do move forward with BLI, you can continue to work with us in our Program to receive ongoing care and prescription management.
